Taking a night off from Comedy to hang with some friends at the House of Blues in Hollywood and catch Repeater. Good times.
Oprah just called the girl from “Precious” an “American Cinderella”. Even our Cinderella is fat.
I’m beginning to think our Oscar “party” will be only me and Chris. Oh well, more chicken N beer for us.
After two nights of fitful sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the Improv, it was nice to sleep in my own bed for 10 hours. I wonder why no one ever mentions the bed as one of mankinds greatest inventions.
Memories from Last Comic I’ll always treasure; “This is Dan from the Improv, the port-a-potties are broke”; 15 and his clean hair; the tent of sin; my own private bathroom, kinda; “I’m not saying I’ll cut somebody, but yeah, I’ll cut somebody; Greg Giraldo laughing at my joke; Bigfoot almost falling down in the rain. Ahhh, good times.
Sorry to report that I didn’t make it through to a showcase audition. I had a real fun time though! Waiting for Chris and hoping he gets through.
I have the number 9 on my application. Malia was born on the December 9th, and 9 has been my lucky number ever since. I’m hoping this is a good Omen.
Occasionally new people will show up and try to creep up to the front of the line. WTF. I’m not saying there’s a prison yard mentality forming, but I am sharpening my toothbrush into a shiv.
Was able to pull the Jeep up to the curb last night and sleep in relative warmth. Probably won’t be able to repeat that trick tonight but it’s cool. If it doesn’t rain.
10th in line for Last Comic Standing. Only 36 hours to go until auditions. Feel free to bring me food, water, or ridicule.

So the first thing Grandma said to ne when I showed up at the hospital was “You’re doing your gig tonight right?” Alright Grams, I’m gonna make ‘em laugh for ya!
Grandma had a stroke last night and is currently in the ICU. I’ll be heading out to see her after classes today. Please send positive thoughts. Thanks.
Dressed all in black and ready to head to The Other Place in Anaheim to speak to my people. A run of shows this week to get ready for Last Comic Standing on Saturday.
Was just reminded that Thom Yorke is going to be at Coachella this year with the band he used on the Eraser album, which includes Flea. I can’t freaking wait!!!!
